The previous episodes have shown a remarkable progression in Alice’s (Janella Salvador) characterization. Once someone who often hid from her problems, she now finds the courage to reclaim fragments of her memories through consistent psychology sessions, embarking on a quest to uncover the truth about her forgotten trauma.
In her recent session, she opened up about how her sleepwalking had reached a serious extent, walking alone at night until she ended up in the backyard of a stranger—who, understandably, was frightened by her unconscious arrival.
Upon hearing her story, her psychologist offered comforting assurances, reminding her she could stop remembering for a while if it became too emotional to bear. Determined to find the answer she had long sought, Alice said she had been crying for too long and that the backyard felt familiar, even though she had never been there.
The psychologist explains how Alice’s sleepwalking might offer a lead to somewhere physically or emotionally significant, as the body sometimes remembers what the mind tries to forget.
Both comforted and unsettled, Alice starts to see that her sleepwalking, once tied to suspicions about her husband, is actually guiding her toward Amurao.
Unbeknownst to her, while she was in the middle of the crucial conversation with her psychologist, Scott (Mark Neumann) unexpectedly arrived in the Philippines and reunited with Seth (Rhys Stevens).
Alice returns home rattled by the news, fearing that Scott must have taken Seth far from her—perhaps to the airport and back to the US—since they had been quarreling over Seth’s custody throughout their divorce.
