Taking the advice of her psychologist, Alice (Janella Salvador) musters the courage to open up about Erica’s (Kaila Estrada) estrangement from the rest of MABEL after Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) death and young Edong’s (Renshi de Guzman) incarceration.
The two reach an emotional peak when Alice mentions feeling betrayed by Erica’s abandonment—a revelation that surprises Erica and prompts her to share more about her 14-year struggle, which began when the group refused to listen to her evidence that Edong was not Louisa’s killer.
Alice and Erica go on to express deep-seated frustrations with each other, particularly Erica, who details why it seemed easy for her to forget her friends—explaining how the innocent Edong was tortured and sexually assaulted inside Bagumbayan Prison due to their lies and her own silence.
Adding a final dose of painful reminiscence, Erica tearfully recounts the grief she has been enduring—grief caused, unfortunately, by the very friends she once believed were unlike her mother, who abandoned her.
Hours later, back at her unit, Erica finds herself wanting to apologize for the strain between her and Alice after their much-needed conversation but doesn’t follow through. She then sees a message from Althea (Andi Abaya) asking about her fallout with their mother, Annette (Sharmaine Suarez).
Not long after her exchange with Erica, Alice decides to stay at her Uncle Edward’s (Joel Molina) residence, where she breaks down crying over her perceived failures as a friend, wife, and daughter.
At the height of the scene, Alice wishes she had died instead of her father. Edward comforts her, telling her that her father loves her—especially because she never gave up trying to pick up the pieces of her life after his death.
Later that night, Alice falls asleep on the couch but wakes in the dark and begins another episode of sleepwalking, eventually making her way to the streets.
