It was indeed an eventful first day at work for Patrolwoman Paula “Ponggay” Garcia (Maris Racal).
After being included by P/Lt. Hector Victorino (Aljur Abrenica) in their operation against the Montenegros and in safeguarding Ramon (Christopher de Leon) at the hospital, which later on became a three-way clash among the Quiapo Police, the squad of Tanggol (Coco Martin), and the Red Phoenix group led by Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro), Ponggay then went on to receive an unexpected proposal from their precinct chief.
She was supposed to only personally thank him for saving her from being shot during the skirmish in the hospital—after being prompted by her bestie-slash-comrade Pat. Chona Vasquez (Via Antonio)—but Hector started to hit on her. Ponggay then apologized to him for disobeying his orders and chasing the suspects, as well as expressed her readiness to take responsibility for her mistakes, which further impressed him.
Hector went on to reiterate his desire to be her boyfriend, which didn’t sit well with Ponggay because aside from him moving way too fast, she also deemed it wrong to have a relationship at work. But Hector argued that nobody else needs to know, telling her that he would remain as her senior in the office, while he would be her boyfriend whenever they’re out of service.
His immense confidence indeed got Ponggay stunned and speechless, which Hector took as an approval from her. Unfortunately for him, Ponggay revealed during her conversation with Chona outside the hospital that she isn’t keen on being in a relationship yet, and even though he possesses the qualities of her ideal guy, Hector is exactly not her type.
