As the unit of the Quiapo Police led by Rigor (John Estrada) started to fire at them and the Red Phoenix group, Tanggol (Coco Martin) and his friends focused on loading Oweng (Renz “Baby Giant” Baña) into the ambulance in their attempt to rush him to another hospital.
Rigor tried to chase them but to no avail since Tanggol’s squad was able to get away quickly. So, he and his unit just went back inside the hospital and ran after the Red Phoenix group, who managed to escape as well with Ramon (Christopher de Leon).
While they were on their way, Tanggol encouraged Oweng to hold on and to keep on fighting, but the gunshots the latter sustained were too fatal, which eventually led to his heartbreaking demise that his friends were able to witness.
Prior to taking his last breath, Oweng still managed to formally bid farewell to them and tell them how much he loved them. He also reminded Tanggol to continue the fight that their group had started because he highly believes in him and his visions for Manila. Besides, he expressed how glad he was to be able to do something good in his short-lived journey here on Earth.
