Just when the Benito family and the friends of Tanggol (Coco Martin) were about to leave, Divina (Rosanna Roces) suddenly arrived at their hideout—much to their surprise. When asked how she managed to get out of jail, she told them that she had connections who helped her out and went on to quiz them about where they were going.
Tanggol was also astonished upon seeing her and refused to believe that she was able to post bail considering the amount of drugs the police had recovered during their encounter with them at the Montenegro mansion.
His and his friends’ suspicion against her grew when she said that Don Julio (Tommy Abuel) and Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) weren’t allowed to post bail, but she tried to dismiss it by arrogantly telling them that she was there to help them find a better place to hide.
Aware that she had already failed in convincing Tanggol about her real intention of appearing there, Divina took out the gun handed to her by Rigor (John Dimaguiba) earlier and pointed it at Tanggol. She went on to tell him that she needed to save herself first and reiterated that they shouldn’t have arrived there if Tanggol had only listened to his father and grandfather.
Divina then advised him to surrender since they were already surrounded by the police, which impelled the friends of Tanggol to take out their guns and point them at her. The police, who were aboard the boats they hired to bring them to the group’s hideout, took it as a sign for them to reveal themselves by brandishing their guns, too, as P/Lt. Hector Victorino (Aljur Abrenica) spoke to Tanggol through the megaphone.
