While they were preparing for their proclamation and oath-taking following their victory in the recently concluded elections, Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) and Jackie (Angel Aquino) were interrupted by Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero), who grumbled at them for not inviting him.
As Jackie told him that he will just ruin their moment since the attention of the people are surely going to be diverted to him, Miguelito seconded her by telling Don Gustavo that they will not be needing him there. He explained to his biological dad that his presence there would not be good for his image as the newest mayor of Manila since people might think that they indeed rigged the results of the elections.
Of course, that didn’t sit well with the Guerrero patriarch, so he rebuked Miguelito for already being pompous even before he takes on the mayoralty seat and can prove himself as a leader. Don Gustavo added that instead of shaming them, his presence can actually be beneficial, most especially to him.
Furthermore, he reminded him that if he wants to achieve longevity in politics, then he must not tread on this journey alone. Thus, they should be grateful to still have him by their side. Thus, Jackie and Miguelito couldn’t do anything but allow him to come with them.
