POLOMOLOK, South Cotabato — Nxled took down Galeries Tower in straight sets, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20, in the 2026 PVL on Tour Showdown on Saturday at the Polomolok Gymnasium here.

This marked the Chameleons second win in the On Tour Showdown after winning over Capital1 in Vigan.

"Well, I think we played a good game altogether. The players showed their real value, and against teams like Galeries, which have a very good serve and a very good block, we know we’ve got to fight,” said the Chameleons head coach Ettore Guidetti.

The volleyball fans in Polomolok were treated to a spectacle, shouting in every intense rally in the match where the Chameleons ultimately went triumphant—but not with ease.

In the opening frame, despite Nxled installing a 23-20 lead, Galeries put up a gritty stand, with Jean Asis leading the way. She converted an attack in the middle, as Nxled suffered an error to be within one, 23-22.

Fortunately for the Chameleons, Lyann de Guzman was there to put her team on set point, securing an off-the-block hit, 24-23. Asis kept Galeries in the hunt in Set 1 with a running attack, but Gel Cayuna was there with the kill block to close the opener, 25-23.

Set 2 was a close call as well, with Asis once again putting Galeries within a point after a long shot, 23-22.

EJ Cariño and Erika Deloria traded attacks for a 24-23 count, as de Guzman rose to the occasion, dealing the set-clinching kill for a 2-0 lead.

Nxled went on a 3-1 finishing kick in Set 3, as Aduke Ogunsanya found the quick hit, Galeries suffered an attack error, and Myla Pablo nailed the game-clinching spike to end the match in one hour and 44 minutes.

Chiara Permentilla was the top-scorer for Nxled, firing 14 points, while Cariño and MJ Phillips added nine markers each.

On the other hand, Deloria was a bright spot for Galeries, tallying 13 points, 16 excellent receptions, and seven excellent digs, while Asis impressed with 11 points and five blocks.
