CANDON, Ilocos Sur — Iran thrashed Lebanon, while Chinese Taipei also scored a sweep as 2026 AVC Women’s Cup pool phase continued again on Tuesday at the Candon City Arena here.
Fatemeh Khalili Chermahini was the lone player in double digits with 10 points as the Iranians drubbed 25-9, 25-8, 25-15, for their first win in Pool B.

Lebanon, for its part, remained winless at 0-3 in the tourney presented by the PSC, FIVB, AVC, Volleyball World and Candon City headed by Mayor Eric Singson.

In Pool A action, Chinese Taipei swept Uzbekistan, 25-17, 25-13, 25-15, to emerge on top of its group at 3-0.
The Philippines, meanwhile, will enter the taraflex at 3 p.m. hoping to secure an upset against powerhouse South Korea.
