MANILA — Jema Galanza said Wednesday that Creamline sees the potential in Barbie Jamili, the team's lone pick at the 2026 PVL Rookie Draft.
Jamili, just like Galanza, is from Adamson University, and was selected eighth overall in the first round on Wednesday during the draft proper at the Novotel Manila Araneta City in Quezon City.
"'Di naman din siya pipiliin ng coaches at ng team kung wala din talaga siyang maibibigay para sa amin. Nakitaan talaga siya ng potential," Galanza told select reporters.

The former Conference and Finals MVP hopes the rookie takes her time in developing herself, adding that Jamili has the qualities of some of the spikers in Creamline.
"Nasa magandang team siya kasi especially si Jamili, all-around din siya. 'Di din siya gano'ng katangkaran, pero nandu'n yung power, explosive din siya. So 'yung team naman, sistema siya eh," said Galanza.

"So I think kapag matiyaga ka lang, masipag ka, kakayanin naman niya yung sistema na meron yung Creamline. So basta tiyagain niya lang, huwag siyang magmadali," she added.

For her part, Jamili is "starstruck" as she joins the 11-time league champions.
"Sobrang happy and mixed emotions lang kasi hindi ko inexpect na mapi-pick ako," she said. "Na-starstruck ako siyempre... Ang sarap sa feeling kasi hindi talaga ako nag-expect."
"Ibibigay ko lang best ko kung ano meron ako and I'm willing to learn sa bagong team ko ngayon and sa ates ko."
