MANILA — Alyssa Solomon, widely considered as the number one overall pick of the 2026 class, has withdrawn from the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookie Draft.
Her management, Hustle and Groove, announced the development Sunday on Instagram.
She will return to the national team, her camp added.
With Solomon's withdrawal, she now needs to declare once more for the PVL Draft in case she intends to enter the league, as explained by PVL commissioner Sherwin Malonzo.
"Kapag nag-pull out siya, hindi siya na-draft, 'di sa next, mag-a-apply ulit siya for the draft," said Malonzo.
Solomon attended Day 1 of the Combine, but was not around on Day 2.
When she faced the media at the Combine, the former Japan SV.League player admitted that she was not yet, by then, firm on her decision to enter the league.
“Hindi pa talaga firm ‘yung decision, pero we’ll see,” she said.
