MANILA, Philippines – Nxled has registered its second straight win at the PVL on Tour, thanks to its rookie Lyann de Guzman.
De Guzman, again showing what she is capable of in the pro ranks, helped dismantle an undermanned Choco Mucho, 25-20, 26-28, 27-25, 25-22, on Sunday at the Batangas City Sports Center.
The product of Ateneo de Manila University posted 24 points on 20 attacks, three aces and a block to go with 12 excellent receptions and nine excellent digs, just a day after a stellar 21-point showing against recent PVL All-Filipino champion Petro Gazz, 25-23, 19-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-10.
Chiara Permentilla headed the supporting cast by listing 19 points, and Jov Fernandez also breached double-digit territory with 14 markers.
For its part, Choco Mucho is missing the services of stars Sisi Rondina, Kat Tolentino, and Dindin Santiago-Manabat.
Isa Molde paced the other side with 16 points, while Aduke Ogunsanya had 10 points.

It could have been a sweep, but Flying Titans captain Des Cheng showed her veteran form, providing her team's clutch points in extended Set 2 for a 1-1 score, 28-26.
Set 3 again became pushed to the limit as Mean Mendrez fired a crosscourt after Dante Alinsunurin rallied his wards off a timeout, 24-all.
Jen Villegas committed a service error to gift a point to the Chameleons, 25-24, but Ogunsanya was there to atone for it, smashing one at the middle to knot things up again at 25-apiece.

Nxled finally closed out Set 3 after Permentilla hit one off-the-block, as De Guzman fired the set-clinching crosscourt kill for a 2-1 cushion.
The final canto was again a close fight, but Chameleons had all the answers, uncorking a 4-0 final push as they overcame a one-point 22-21 deficit to steal the triumph.
An Ogunsanya service error sparked the run, as another PVL newbie Mayang Nuique banked on that by turning back an older Molde on the net to snatch the lead, 23-22.
Permentilla pushed Nxled to match point with a kill, and De Guzman wrapped things up with a game-clinching service ace — to the surprise of the Flying Titans — to go 2-0 in the Batangas stop of the PVL on Tour.
