MANILA — Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Nicolas Torre III on Thursday said he had no plans yet to run in the 2028 elections.
Torre made the statement after his photo appeared on posters of a party-list group, which were displayed in provinces.
"Ako'y natutuwa na may mga entities na naniniwala na ang mukha ko ay epektibong pang-attract ng etensya sa road safety," he said.
"I want to clarify and categorically state na di ako kasali sa production and distribution and mounting of those posters. Ginamit lang mukha ko doon and really there's no objection on my part," he added.

Asked if he was considering running in the 2028 polls, Torre said his current responsibilities at the MMDA remained his priority.
"I wanna make sure I do my job here in MMDA to the satisfaction of the public… Di ko pa pinapag-isipan,” he said. “Napakalaking job niya… Di ko alam anong sistema dyan. I'm really focused in my job here in MMDA."
