While on their way home, Gabo (Coco Martin) and his friends encountered Ben, one of the henchmen of his nemesis Django (Jhong Hilario), in an alleyway. He approached Gabo and confessed that his guilty conscience had been keeping him awake for several nights as he struggled with whether to reveal the truth about how Gabo’s father, Rudy (Joey Marquez), had been shot.
This prompted Gabo to pull out his balisong (butterfly knife) and point it at Ben while grabbing him by the collar of his sando. Scared for his life, Ben named Django as the culprit when Gabo demanded to know who it was. He claimed that he had personally witnessed Django fire his gun because they were together when it happened amid the chaos of the recent demolition attempt in Ginintuang Lupa.
Gabo warned Ben that he would cut his throat once he found out that he had only been lying to him. He then immediately went to Django’s hideout and onstantly placed him in a headlock while holding the balisong against him. As Gabo angrily accused Django of being the reason Rudy was fighting for his life in the hospital, Django—knowing that his enemy would not hesitate to kill him—denied the accusation. He argued that he would not waste his time going after Rudy and would instead confront Gabo directly if he wanted revenge.
Django’s stepmother, Ibyang (Aleck Bovick), intervened and insisted that everyone in their community knew the police were the ones who shot Rudy. His father, Paquito (Rez Cortez), also defended him, telling Gabo that if their family and henchmen were truly responsible, Rudy would already be dead and mourned.
When Gabo revealed that Ben was the one who gave him the information, Django told him that he had already kicked Ben out of his group after catching him pilfering. Thus, he suggested that Ben was likely only trying to get revenge on him.
Although Django escaped for the time being after Gabo’s friends convinced him not to take further action due to the lack of evidence linking Django to the crime, Gabo still warned him before leaving that he would make him pay if it was ever proven that he had been involved in Rudy’s shooting.
Gabo may not have carried out his threat against Ben after finding him gambling on the street, but he repeatedly punched him as Ben continued to insist that Django was the one who shot Rudy. Gabo eventually let Ben go and told his friends that they should already head home.
