Fully convinced that fellow Lucky Star Marco Masa was set to play that night, seasoned entertainer Pokwang was stunned when the Lucky Wheel stopped at her assigned briefcase, number 9, selecting her as the celebrity player for the July 12 episode of "Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal."
In a humor-filled introduction video, Pokwang shared that before entering show business, she spent her childhood selling sampaguita garlands and sweepstakes tickets to passersby. After separating from the father of her daughter, Malia, the comedianne admitted that finding a new partner is no longer a priority, especially since the love she receives from her children fills the romantic void in her heart.
Fully aware that the celebrity player is happily single, Pambansang Host Luis Manzano invited veteran comedian Long Mejia onstage for a playful role-playing segment. Taking on the role of Luis’ “European childhood friend,” Long enthusiastically greeted Pokwang with a cheerful, “Surprise!” The unexpected interaction prompted her to look up at the sky as she jokingly pleaded, “Lord, okay na po ako.”

Promising to treat each of her fellow Lucky Stars to a coffee drink of their choice, Pokwang set her sights on winning the game show’s coveted ₱1 million jackpot prize. She also gave up her assigned briefcase, number 9, in exchange for Long’s briefcase, number 1.
Pokwang got off to a rocky start after opening the ₱125,000 briefcase on her very first pick. The remaining amounts revealed in the first round were ₱50, ₱5,000, ₱10,000, and ₱50,000. Hoping to recover from the early setbacks, Pokwang enjoyed a phenomenal second round, eliminating ₱5, ₱10, ₱100, and ₱300 from the board.
Her lucky streak came to an end in the following round after she decided to test her theory that Migs Bustos' briefcase almost always contained a high-value amount. She quickly got her answer when she uncovered the ₱500,000 cash prize. Relying on the power of manifestation, Pokwang chanted “₱1” before opening briefcase number 15—and her wish came true when it revealed the smallest amount on the board.
Despite eliminating the ₱250,000 prize from the board, she remained hopeful that the elusive ₱1 million jackpot was inside her chosen briefcase. That hope was dashed in the seventh round when she uncovered the top prize. In disbelief, Pokwang climbed onto the elevated platform where the Lucky Stars stood to take a closer look at the briefcase.
After revealing the ₱500 amount in the previous round, Pokwang remained determined and turned down the Banker’s final offer of ₱47,000, choosing instead to embrace the fun and excitement of the game. Saving her original briefcase, number 9, for last, Pokwang laughed off the outcome after discovering that she would have taken home ₱100,000 had she stayed with her initial choice.
Taking home ₱200, Pokwang remained grateful despite the result, saying, “Masaya! Kahit hindi ako nakahanda, pero ang saya-saya pa rin. … Iba ang experience [r]ito.”
