In the wake of Omar (Edgar Mortiz) and Jamilah’s (Barbie Imperial) tenacious efforts to seek out a doctor to save the seriously injured Jalil (Gerald Anderson), Teresa (Susan Africa) hurriedly welcomes them to her house and decides to treat Jalil in the best way she can.
With Jamilah’s skilled assistance, Teresa manages to remove the bullet, resulting in Jalil’s stabilized condition. When Teresa inquires about Jalil’s full name for a police report, Omar avoids the question and instead tries to reassure her that Jalil is by no means a criminal and that he would not want to hide any suspects.
Regaining a little bit of his strength, Jalil gently holds Teresa’s hand and thanks her for saving his life. Moments later, as Teresa provides them time to talk, Jamilah looks around and discovers photos of Teresa with her children and most especially with Marcus (Richard Gutierrez).
Upon realizing that Marcus is one of Teresa’s sons, Jamilah and Omar panic, given that Jalil was also the one who arrested Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas) and triggered the pursuit for Jalil.
Teresa returns to the makeshift operating room at the same time when Marcus calls to inform her of his arrival. Together, they team up to escape, and Jalil briefly reaches for Teresa’s hand again to say his last gratitude before leaving.
