Having proudly returned to Kapamilya teleserye productions, award-winning actress and director Bela Padilla is all set to completely embody the sharp-minded and tenacious supervising agent of Special Investigations: Task Force Alpha in “Blood vs Duty.”

On top of her celebrated artistry and prominence, Bela charmingly discloses homely facts about herself in this exclusive interview, reminiscing about her musically inclined childhood and deep appreciation of Ilocos culture.

At an early age, Bela became proficient in playing one of the hardest instruments, the violin. She then wittily continued that she was no longer capable of doing so but redirected her focus to gaining the skills associated with the ukulele. Her musicality during her youth was a testament to her eventual knack for songwriting and singing, particularly for the official soundtracks of her films, “The Day After Valentine’s” and “100 Tula Para Kay Stella.”   Bela then went on to speak about her admiration for Ilocano food. “Specifically, burong hipon (pickled shrimp),” she added. She explained that her fondness and familiarity with Ilocano cuisine were greatly inspired by her grandmother, who’s an Ilocana.

See more of a different side of Bela as Lara Angeles in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
