Without a doubt, the title “Queen of Power Ballads” fits her perfectly. Celine Dion has gifted the world with hit after hit, each one elevated by her vocals and her unmatched ability to deliver performances that are emotional, gut-wrenching, and heartwarming all at once.

That diva energy didn’t just stay on the global stage, it also lit up “Your Face Sounds Familiar” 6 times, as our talented ka-Familiars stepped into Celine’s shoes, belting out her iconic anthems with passion and power.

Jolina Magdangal (YFSF Season 1, 2015) - “Because You Loved Me”

Loud cheers and applause already filled the studio as soon as Jolina began singing the iconic hit “Because You Loved Me.” Everyone was glued to their seats as Jolina owned the stage, making it feel like a Celine Dion concert. The final part of her performance wowed the crowd as she hit the high notes just like Celine.

Guest Judge Vice Ganda immediately congratulated Jolina for her excellent performance. “Hindi ko akalaing gano’n kataas ‘yung boses mo. Alam kong maganda boses mo, nabigla ako,” she said, adding that there were also certain angles where Jolina truly looked like Celine.

Jolina truly proved herself as a singer with her performance, according to Coach Jed Madela. “You really hit that high note very beautifully. Sobrang flawless ng pagkaka-kanta mo,” he said, praising Jolina for having one of the most beautiful voices in the industry. Finally, Judge Sharon Cuneta added, “I really like the way that you interpreted this song,” telling her that she truly enjoyed Jolina’s performance.

Jolina placed 5th at the end of the season.

Jolina Magdangal (YFSF Season 2, 2015) - with Sam Concepcion

Jolina once again graced the “YFSF” stage the following season as she teamed up with Sam Concepcion for a duet of the classic “The Prayer,” with Sam taking on Andrea Bocelli’s part. Jolina blended perfectly with Sam, giving viewers a fresh and heartfelt take on the iconic duet.

Giving them a standing ovation after their performance, the judges were visibly impressed and moved by what they witnessed. Judge Gary Valenciano praised Jolina for being able to support Sam throughout the duet, highlighting their harmony while singing.

AC Bonifacio (YFSF Kids Season 1, 2017) - “My Heart Will Go On”

From her show-stopping performances, AC switched things up by transforming into Celine Dion to sing the classic “My Heart Will Go On,” a ballad quite different from her past numbers. This time, AC let her vocals shine, delivering an emotional performance reminiscent of Celine herself.

“AC, you are so beautiful,” said Judge Ogie Alcasid, adding, “You are so talented… naabot mo ‘yung high notes.” He shared that watching AC perform felt like a proud moment for him, as if he were her father. Meanwhile, Judge Sharon Cuneta was impressed, especially with how AC was able to hit the song’s notes.

Judge Gary Valenciano said that AC’s way of expressing herself through body movements was, in his own words, “superb,” adding that he was truly mesmerized by her. “You are beautiful, but it’s not because of the make-up, it’s simply because you really are,” he said.

AC placed 3rd at the end of the season.

Krystal Brimner (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “It's All Coming Back To Me Now”

At the “YFSF Kids” Grand Showdown, Krystal pulled out her final transformation card and took it to another level as Celine Dion, belting the classic hit “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.” The crowd erupted in cheers as soon as Krystal began singing. Her look, movements, and vocals all mirrored Celine’s.

After her performance, Krystal hoped that everyone enjoyed it---and they certainly did. Judge Gary Valenciano said that Krystal left everyone speechless with her number. “Nalimutan ko na 11 years old ka lang. Ang dami mo pang matututunan,” he remarked, adding that Krystal was truly prepared and that her talent would take her a long way.

Judge Sharon Cuneta shared the same sentiments, telling Krystal that she was a standout performer. “You were super confident… that was heartfelt, and for me, your best performance,” she said. Judge Ogie Alcasid expressed that Krystal’s performance moved him to tears and even gave him goosebumps. “Krystal, you really touched my heart,” he said.

Krystal placed 5th at the end of the season.

Lie Reposposa (YFSF Season 3, 2021) - “It's All Coming Back to Me Now”

Lie unleashed her inner diva as she gave her own take on the iconic hit “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.” Her vocals and nuances closely matched Celine Dion’s, and her stage presence lived up to the icon herself---leaving the judges impressed.

Judge Ogie Alcasid said that every time Lie steps on stage, she delivers big performances. “Ang laki mo magperform, it’s an amazing gift of yours. The essence of Celine was there. It was in you,” he stated. Judge Gary Valenciano even dubbed her “Ce-Lie Dion,” adding that every move, even her stance, was truly Celine.

“Ang galing-galing mo, Lie,” said Judge Sharon Cuneta. “’Yung effort mo to sound like her [Celine Dion] was so amazing, it’s admirable. ‘Yung mga galaw niya, inaaral mo talaga lahat ng ginagawa niya,” she added, delighted with Lie’s determination in her performances every week.

Lie placed 2nd at the end of the season.

Marielle Montellano (YFSF Season 4, 2026) - “The Prayer” with JM Dela Cerna

Marielle blessed the audience once more with her angelic vocals, this time transforming into Celine Dion as she duetted with JM Dela Cerna, who took on Andrea Bocelli’s part, to sing “The Prayer.” After their performance, Marielle even greeted everyone in character as Celine, complete with her accent.

Judge Sharon Cuneta was left speechless by their performance, acknowledging how difficult it must have been to pull off the number. “Ang galing-galing ng pagkakagaya mo kay Celine. I hope Celine Dion is able to see and hear this performance,” she said.

For Judge Ogie Alcasid, “Ang galing nung placement n’yo pareho. Kuhang-kuha n’yo ‘yung essence ni Andrea at Celine,” he praised.
