Olsen (Kyle Echarri) presses Wendy (Janice De Belen) further about the truth regarding his father in the February 13 episode of “Roja.”
After an intense showdown with Dado (Bernard Palanca), Olsen reunites with Wendy and the other hostages, though they remain captive under Emil (Joel Torre). Homer (Christian Vasquez) watches Wendy and Olsen, triggering a flashback to the time he asked Wendy if she was conceiving a child---a claim she denied then and continues to deny, even now, as Wendy and Homer cross paths once again.
At present, Wendy asks about Olsen’s condition, while he is still troubled by the supposed urn of his father, which turned out to be nothing more than a jar filled with sand. “Nay, no'ng nasa staff house kami, nabasag ‘yong urn ni tatay. Bakit buhangin yung nasa loob no'n?” Olsen asks Wendy, to which she replies, “Hindi ko alam,” clearly keeping something from him.
Olsen remains unconvinced, “Kilala kita, ‘Nay. At alam ko kapag hindi ka nagsasabi ng totoo. Tinago mo na sa’kin ‘yong nangyari sa inyo ni Sir Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing). Pati ba naman ‘to?” He confronts Wendy, who insists that knowing more about his father’s identity is not important, as he is someone who does not really matter to them. This only confirms to Olsen that his father is alive. “Buhay pa nga,” he says, baffled by the revelation.
“Buong buhay ko, pinagmukha mo lang akong tanga,” Olsen cries to Wendy, adding, “Naniwala ako [na] wala akong tatay. Namatayan ako ng tatay.” Olsen tells Wendy that he used to pray for his father, only to realize he had been praying to nothing. “‘Yong pangalan na binigay mo sa’kin, totoo ba ‘yon? Siya ba talaga ‘yon, ha?” Olsen presses further about his father’s whereabouts, but Wendy remains silent.
From afar, Homer observes and listens to their conversation, unable to resist inserting himself into it. “Bakit ayaw mong sabihin?” he asks Wendy, which leaves Olsen confused as to why Homer suddenly posed the question.
