As the time finally came for the “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” housemates to present the dishes for “The PBB Bistro” to the food tasters—later revealed as the loved ones of this week’s nominees Sofia Pablo, Carmelle Collado, and Eliza Borromeo—Kuya instructed task leaders Caprice Cayetano and Sofia to divide themselves into five groups to present and explain each dish.

The first dish, “Tuneinei” (tuna crisps) by Carmelle and Krystal Mejes, was served by Lella Ford, Princess Aliyah, and Heath Jornales. Although the tuna tasted great, the food tasters—comprised of Sofia’s father, Christian; Eliza Borromeo’s sister, Chelsea; and Carmelle’s cousin, Myra—made remarks on the plating, serving, and having burnt taste on lumpia wrapper. Thus, it received a rating of 8.3.

Next was the “Chizmiz ni Lady” (cheese sticks) by Caprice and Sofia, which were showcased by Joaquin Arce, Miguel Vergara, and Marco Masa. The food tasters pointed out that although the cheese sticks tasted good, it’s better served newly cooked and with more cheese fillings, earning it an 8.0 rating.

Carmelle, meanwhile, was completely surprised to see her Ate Myra as she and Krystal Mejes delivered the “OTW On the Wings” (flavored chicken wings) by Eliza and Ashley Sarmiento. The dish received a 7.3, as some portions were slightly undercooked, and the flavors of the wings and dip did not fully complement each other. Kuya then allowed Carmelle a brief moment with her cousin.

Eliza was both stunned and overjoyed to see her Ate Chelsea among the panel as she and Ashley presented the “Adobo Pasta ala HeaGuel” by Heath Jornales and Miguel Vergara. The dish earned a 5.6 after the tasters noted its lack of creaminess and depth of flavor, leaving the “Determined Daughter ng Cavite” emotional as she embraced her sister.

Last but definitely not least was the dessert, Lava Marchurros (chocolate churros) by Marco Masa and Joaquin Arce, which was presented by task leaders Sofia and Caprice. The “Strong-willed Sunshine ng Quezon City” was clearly startled upon catching sight of her Daddy Christian as they entered the room, as well as over the moon to finally laugh with him again. Both of them got teary-eyed as Kuya allowed them to have a moment together.

Among the dishes they had tasted, the food taster apparently liked the last one the most as it received a grade of 8.6. They complimented its well-balanced flavor yet suggested that it could be served separately to avoid the churros from getting soggy.
