Akira Morishita was supposed to transform as Yeng Constantino in the January 17 episode of "Your Face Sounds Familiar," but Alexa Ilacad stole the icon, so he ended up doing Blackpink Lisa—his first-ever impression of a female artist.
During mentoring, vocal coach Klarisse De Guzman noted that Akira already has a naturally light singing voice, but reminded him to thin it out even more since he's portraying a female artist. As for the movement, Coach Nyoy Volante said Lisa’s iconic 'twerk' was totally non-negotiable.
Even though he was nervous and felt like it would be difficult, Akira completely let go once he stepped out of the 'iconator' and slayed so hard he got a standing ovation from all the judges and his co-performers after his "Money" prod.
The jury was already amused and impressed just by Akira’s makeup, noting how beautiful he looked as a 'woman.' Nyoy commented, "Ang laking bagay na ang ganda ganda mo," implying that the performance was even more enjoyable because Akira was so pleasant to look at.
As Klarisse jokingly reacted, "Nasaan ang hustisya?" She added, "Bilang isang lalaki na gagayahin ang isang Lisa, on point para sa akin... I'm so proud of you."
Sharon Cuneta also thought the number suited Akira perfectly, and that he managed to blend both swag and femininity. “I love this performance,” she gushed.
