After more than a year of bringing sultry grit and fire to “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” Kim Domingo now takes a bow as Madonna, the fierce female fighter and loyal comrade whose story stretched from serving under the Caballero clan to becoming, at one point, Tanggol (Coco Martin)’s very own savior before finally standing alongside him as an ally in battle.

Kim’s character, Madonna, was killed in a recent clash between Tanggol’s group and the men of his own father, Ramon (Coco Martin), during an attempt to stop their illegal transaction.

Off cam, however, it was all smiles on her last day of taping, as seen in a behind-the-scenes clip where the team made sure to give her a sweet surprise send-off. "Very happy ako na napunta ako sa role na 'to, ni Madonna," gushed Kim as she talked about her 'Batang Quiapo' journey in an interview with CCM Film Production.

The project, she shared, came at just the right time during her showbiz hiatus, so there was no reason to let it pass. "Sino ba namang ayaw na mapasama sa 'Batang Quiapo' na show," she said, adding with pride, "At siyempre makasama ang isang Direk Coco Martin."

Looking back, Kim described her experience as nothing short of rewarding. "Sobrang happy ako at grateful sa show na 'to," she expressed, recalling how much she learned not just from Coco but from the entire team, especially in doing action scenes.

One of her most unforgettable moments on the show was her character’s explosive entrance, which immediately thrust her into an intense fight scene with Coco. It was a nerve-racking start, but she felt overwhelmed in the best way by the grand welcome the teleserye gave her.

More than the action scenes, Kim is also taking with her huge lessons in discipline and perseverance. "Kailangan tiyagain mo para maging maganda ang kalabasan ng eksena mo... disiplina sa ginagawa mo, 'yung pagmamahal mo sa trabaho mo. Lalo na, ito kasing show na 'to hindi siya gano'n kadaling gawin, talagang mahirap siya pero at the same time napakasarap."

Although she had done action before, Kim admitted this was on another level—more demanding and more intense. She underwent rigorous training, especially in handling firearms, which she believes will be useful in her future roles. As she puts it, the project has been an “all in one package” and truly “fulfilling.”

Besides the action and discipline, she will also treasure the bond she formed with her co-stars, "Para kaming naging isang pamilya rito. Kapag wala kaming ginagawa, nagtatawanan lang kami, bonding, kumakain, kuwentuhan," she said, sharing what she will miss most now that her “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” stint has wrapped up.

And then she spoke with sincerity when asked her message to Coco. "Maraming maraming salamat sa oportunidad na binigay mo sa akin, sa tiwala na kaya kong gawin ito kahit noong una sobrang kabadong-kabado ako lalo na no'ng unang fight scene natin," expressed the gorgeous actress. "Hindi ko na-imagine na makakaeksena kita. Hindi sumagi sa isip ko na makakasama kita sa isang proyekto."

Just like the fans, Kim is also hopeful that she and Coco will get to work together again in another project in the future. "Sana hindi pa ito ang huling pagsasama natin," she said in her parting message to the Primetime King.

With Madonna’s exit, several new characters are set to enter as a new chapter begins in "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo," airing weeknights at 8 PM on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
