After Erika’s (Gillian Vicencio) check-up at the health center, they headed to a drugstore to buy the medicines prescribed to her by the doctor. Little did Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) know that someone from his past was standing several inches from him—Annika (Dexie Diaz).
They didn’t see each other at first, but they eventually bumped into each other as Annika walked back to her car while Santino was about to return to the drugstore after picking up the coins that had accidentally been tossed out of his pockets.
Both stunned and delighted, none of them were able to say anything aside from each other’s names as they simply stared at one another for some seconds. Their serendipitous moment was shattered by Erika, who hollered at Santino to tell him that the medicines they ordered were ready.
The two looked at her, with Annika figuring out that she was the new girl in his life, while Santino wasn’t able to tell her anything as tears welled up in his eyes. As Annika walked out and went back to her car, Santino called her, which made her stop and stand by the door, seemingly waiting for him to say anything. But he remained mum as tears welled up in his regretful eyes, so she just drove off and left him standing on the street while watching her zoom off.
Erika summoned her once more and asked him about her. He told her that she was his friend and her name was Annika, which prompted her to share that she actually thought of naming their baby “Annika” if it’s going to be a girl. She enthusiastically explained that it’s a combination of their names, but Santino irately dismissed her, telling her that it’s still too early for them to think about it.
