Just when she advised the rest of the Wating to retreat since they were clearly outnumbered by the enemies, Madonna (Kim Domingo) was fatally shot by Ramon (Christopher de Leon). Prior to her, their teammate Raul (Raymond Ronquillo) was also gunned down by Tanggol’s (Coco Martin) father.
Upon seeing her fall, Tanggol immediately ran towards the direction of her already lifeless and bloodied body, removed her mask, and called out her name, hoping against hope that she was still alive. As he wailed, Ramon and his minions inched closer to their troop and commanded them to lay down their weapons, to which they all obliged as they also raised their arms to signify their surrender.
Ramon was then shocked upon seeing Madonna’s lifeless body in front of Tanggol, which made him assume that he knew the people behind the black masks and suits. And he was able to confirm his hunch upon taking off the mask of the man kneeling in front of him, who was revealed to be none other than his son, Tanggol.
This revelation indeed made Ramon emotional out of utter shock and pain, as his son, whom he had learned to trust, had betrayed him. Tanggol, on the other hand, was seemingly unfazed by what could be the repercussions of it, as he was preoccupied by the pain he felt for losing another important woman in his life.
