After being knocked down by Olivia (Chanda Romero) using a wine bottle, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) woke up to see her hands tied together while lying in bed. She attempted to flee, but Olivia and her two right-hand men were able to stop her, and one of them gave her a punch in the stomach to pacify her.
As Olivia implied that she was planning to kill her along with the other members of her family, Marites brazenly taunted her by saying that her wickedness is actually the reason why Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) had disowned her. This apparently infuriated Olivia, so she assaulted her and told her that the Guerrero family never accepted her although they’d given them everything she had.
Olivia went to enumerate the transgressions of Marites and her paternal family, further declaring that they were nothing but a curse to her. Marites angrily clapped back by reminding Olivia that it was her mom, Doña Pilar (Celia Rodriguez), who actually started it all since she threatened the life of Tindeng (Charo Santos).
Marites seemed to take pity on Olivia when she lamented that nobody from her loved ones was still by her side, then shifted to pleading mode as the latter warned her about pouring her vengeful feelings on Tanggol (Coco Martin). One of Olivia’s minions then covered Marites’ face with a cloth laden with a toxic liquid, which caused the latter to lose consciousness anew.
