As he sensed that there seemed to be something wrong going on, P/Lt. Hector Victorino (Aljur Abrenica) suddenly stormed inside the room and caught Rigor (John Estrada) in the act of pointing his gun at Ramon (Christopher de Leon), who was then still unconscious following his surgery.
Hector aimed his gun at Rigor and commanded him to “stand down”, or to stop whatever he was doing. The latter quickly obliged and apologized for letting his emotions get the best of him, as he explained how upset he was that many of their comrades were killed during their operations against the Montenegros, yet Ramon still made it out alive.
The officer-in-charge of Quiapo Police Station reminded Rigor that although he completely agrees with him that evil people like Ramon do not deserve to live, he is still their asset, so they need him alive. Besides, they could also use him in finding Tanggol (Coco Martin) in order for them to arrest him and his squad.
Before Rigor left following his order for him to relieve his post, Hector stopped him by the doorway and told him that he actually had the chance to go over his files. He found out that Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) is his wife and the lover of Ramon, which makes this case too personal and inappropriate for him due to conflict of interest. Thus, Rigor better be grateful that it was outgoing Mayor Roberto Guerrero (Albert Martinez) who assigned him to handle the operation and this case because Hector would not even allow him to get near to the hospital.
