Just when Ramon (Christopher De Leon) presumed that he would be able to kill Roberto (Albert Martinez) during their suspenseful combat, the latter was able to escape from the former after one of his bodyguards came to his rescue by shooting Ramon.
Roberto seized the chance to escape from Ramon while he was distracted, quickly and carefully running away from him. Ramon attempted to come after him, to the point that he had to jump off the balcony in order to keep up with him, but to no avail.
While Ramon fought Roberto and some of his bodyguards singlehandedly, his henchmen and the friends of Tanggol (Coco Martin) also tried everything they could to either stop Jackie (Angel Aquino) and Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) from fleeing or completely kill both of them. Divina (Rosanna Roces) even managed to shoot Jackie in her left leg as she was about to get out of the battlefield, which convinced Miguelito to heed his mom’s plea for them to leave.
Before running away from the scene, Miguelito vowed that he would be the mayor of Maynila once they come face-to-face again. He stated, “Sa susunod na makikita n’yo ako, ako na ang magiging mayor ng Maynila! Sisiguraduhin ko lahat kayo mabubulok sa loob ng kulungan!”
Ramon and his group attempted to chase the Guerreros, but Miguelito, Jackie, and Roberto, along with a few of their security aides, were able to quickly get away from them.
Besides, they also heard the blaring police siren, hinting that the authorities were already on their way to the mansion, so they had no choice but to retreat and just continue their revenge plot on them some other time.
