While his father, Ramon (Christopher de Leon), was busy fighting the Guerreros alongside their henchmen and his friends, Tanggol (Coco Martin) was still in the middle of action as the Red Phoenix group led by Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro) continued to chase him in pursuit of completing their mission to finish him off.
Despite being alone and being riddled with bullets by the enemies as they were able to corner him at a suspension bridge, he still managed to kill some of them and survive—until his only gun ran out of bullets and he sensed that the car he was using was about to explode. Thus, in a desperate move to escape from them, Tanggol came up with the idea of driving the car at full speed towards the river and allowing it to fall into the water, which was less deadly than getting out of the vehicle.
As the car exploded mid-air after Lucio shot it, Tanggol managed to jump out of it and save himself from looming death. Confident that their subject was already dead, the Red Phoenix immediately left, oblivious that Tanggol actually made it out alive.
