Erika (Gillian Vicencio) can’t help but get anxious as she waits for Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) to return from buying three pregnancy tests for her, so she takes a shot of brandy despite not confirming yet if there is indeed a baby in her womb or if she’s just overthinking about her delayed menstrual period.
She angrily greets Santino as soon as he arrives, hastily grabbing the brown paper bag that contains the three pregnancy tests that he has purchased for her and asking him what has taken him so long to come back. Santino also takes a swig of brandy as he frantically waits for Erika to come out from the bathroom with the results.
A few moments later, Erika comes out crying as she holds one of the test kits in her hand and hands it over to Santino, who is bewildered to see two solid red lines on the test window. As Erika explains to him that those red lines suggest that she’s pregnant, Santino strongly refuses it and asks her to try it again because the result shown by the said test kit might be inaccurate. But Erika tells him that she has already used up all three test kits that he bought, and all turned out positive.
Since he’s apparently not ready to be a father yet, Santino comes up with absurd reasons why the results might not be precise and then goes on to express his doubt about being the
father of the baby Erika is carrying. His insinuation indeed offends Erika, so she slaps him hard on the face and expresses her resentment against him for toying with her feelings and then suddenly dropping her when something unexpected like this takes place.
Erika walks out and locks herself inside their bedroom, while Santino lets out his exasperation for the looming trouble that her pregnancy might cause.
