K-pop group BLACKPINK released their highly anticipated mini-album Deadline on Friday, February 27.
The album features five tracks, including "Jump," "Go," "Me and My," "Champion," and "Fxxxboy." "Jump" was previously released as the album's lead single.
Alongside the album launch, the group also dropped the sci-fi-inspired music video for "Go," which has already garnered 19 million views on YouTube as of this writing.
Deadline was released following the conclusion of the group's Deadline World Tour, which brought BLACKPINK to 16 cities around the globe.
In a previous statement, BLACKPINK's record label YG Entertainment said that "even amid the intense schedule of a large-scale world tour, the members devoted significant time and effort to perfecting [the Deadline] album," as per report by the Rolling Stone Australia.
"We are confident it is a body of work that encapsulates both the individual musical capabilities of the four members and their synergy as a team. We ask for your continued support as Blackpink once again leaves a meaningful mark on the global music industry," the agency added.
Prior to the album's release, BLACKPINK also achieved another major milestone, becoming the first-ever artist to surpass 100 million subscribers on YouTube.
"BLACKPINK HITS 100 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS ON YouTube. BLINKs worldwide, thank you so much!" the group remarked in a Facebook post.
YouTube presented BLACKPINK with a custom Red Diamond Creator Award to commemorate the achievement.
