Lisa of BLACKPINK is set to star in an upcoming Netflix romantic comedy film.

The streaming giant recently made the announcement via social media posting: "LALISA ROM-COM ERA! LISA will star in a new Notting Hill-inspired romantic comedy feature for Netflix written by Katie Silberman (Booksmart, Set It Up)!"

Notting Hill is a 1999 romantic comedy movie that follows the story of a famous actress named Anna Scott (Julia Roberts), who falls in love with William Thacker (Hugh Grant), a bookstore owner in Notting Hill.

Fans online were quick to react to the news.

"OMG My dreams are gradually coming true. Lisa is in a romantic movie with Netflix. I'm flying with happiness!" one fan commented.

"Excited to see LISA in a rom-com!" another fan wrote.

Back in December 2025, it was also announced that Lisa will be headlining the movie Tygo, a spin-off of the Extraction franchise, for Netflix.

As per Netflix's Tudum,  the thriller film "follows Tygo, a former child soldier turned mercenary who gets revenge on Korea’s underworld after a mission gone wrong."

Lisa will headline the film alongside Don Lee and Lee Jin-uk.

"I'm so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors. Being in an action film has always been a dream of mine, and for my first movie role to be in such an exciting action film is a dream come true," the K-Pop star said.

Lisa made her acting debut in 2025 in the season 3 of the HBO series White Lotus.

In a previous interview with Capital FM, she remarked that she had a great time filming the series which was shot in Thailand.

"It is my acting debut so I was so nervous and I'm so happy to be part of the White Lotus family. And it happened to be filmed in my home country, Thailand, so I got to spend time there with my family as well. My mom was on set as well," she said.

Following her first acting role, Lisa expressed interest in pursuing more acting opportunities in the future. "I would love to [do more]. I really had fun on set so I would love to try more," she stated.
