Following the massive success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige addressed whether Tom Holland could return for another film as the web-slinging superhero.
When asked by Variety about plans for a future Spider-Man movie starring Tom, Kevin said the actor would first be taking a well-deserved break after promoting the film worldwide.
"There are always plans. But right now, he’s going to rest after that global tour."
Kevin added that Tom and his wife and co-star, Zendaya, deserved time to celebrate the film’s success and recharge.
"He and Zendaya are going to take a good and restful victory lap, which they very much deserve," he highlighted.
The Marvel executive was also asked why the studio had initially kept Sadie Sink’s involvement in the film a secret.
"It’s purely about creating the best possible opening weekend experience for the audience. Sadie’s character is one that our fans know has immense significance within the Marvel Universe, and she plays a key role in the future of the MCU. I’m just happy that the secret is finally out and that Sadie can stop dodging the question," he stated.
Meanwhile, Tom also spoke about his future as Spider-Man during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
“I will do it for as long as they’ll have me. So if this movie does good, I guess we’ll see!” he remarked.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day surpassed the $1-billion mark at the global box office just six days after its premiere.
In the Philippines, the superhero film earned ₱586.9 million from July 29 to August 1.

Set more than four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the film follows Peter Parker as he navigates the consequences of Doctor Strange’s spell, which erased everyone’s memories of him, including those of his closest friends.
Although Spider-Man has helped make New York City safer by confronting villains such as Scorpion and Tombstone, he soon faces a new body-hopping enemy. The emerging threat could mark the beginning of a new era in the Marvel Cinematic Universe while placing MJ and Ned in danger.
