Rosé took to social media to express her excitement to open the Grammy Awards with Bruno Mars, performing the hit song "APT." on Sunday, February 1 (US time).

On her Instagram Stories, Rosé posted: "Ahhh. Soo so much fun to open the Grammys. What an honor and what a dream. This is really, really, really epic insane. Crazy. @brunomars."

The 2026 Grammy Awards marked Rosé’s first time attending the Grammys. She made history after becoming the first K-Pop soloist to be nominated for the six general field categories of the awards ceremony.

The K-Pop star received nominations for Song of the Year and Record of the Year for the track "APT." She also bagged a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the track where she collaborated with Bruno Mars.

Rosé released "APT." on October 18, 2024.

In an interview with Vogue in October 2024, Rosé shared that she got the inspiration to write the song after playing the drinking game with her team in the recording studio.

"I was like, 'Is this okay that I've written like a song about like a drinking game? Is this too unserious?' And so I like got all of the producers and songwriters to delete the song off of their phones," she said.

After realizing that those who listened to the song became "obsessed" with it, the BLACKPINK member decided to push through on finishing the track.

On how her collaboration with Bruno Mars came into fruition, Rosé recalled: "Last year, Bruno came to perform in Korea, in Seoul and my friends were like, 'Do you wanna go watch a Bruno Mars concert?' And so ever since then I was like, 'Oh my god, I love Bruno Mars, I play his songs all the time.'"

"Fast forward somebody set up a meeting with him and I. And I met him and I was like, I was fangirling so much, and he liked jumped on the song and he had all these like crazy ideas for it," she said.
