Lisa of BLACKPINK is set to mark another milestone in her career.
As per Billboard citing an announcement from Sony, Lisa's documentary, Always Lalisa, will have its world premiere as part of the Gala Presentations program at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival in September.
The documentary showcases Lisa's journey as "for the first time since childhood, she steps away from BLACKPINK for a year of independence."
"With the clock ticking before her return to the group, LISA confronts the fear and pressure of launching a solo career, pursuing acting, and building a brand, while yearning to maintain a personal life beyond the spotlight," the film description added.
Always Lalisa is directed by Sue Kim.
It was back in June 2025 when it was announced that the documentary was in production.
"This has been such an incredible year, and I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to capture these special moments on film and share the experience with my fans," the K-Pop star said in a statement at that time.
She added: "Working with Sue Kim has been such a joy. We’ve been all around the world together and I know this is just the beginning of many more exciting things to come."
Meanwhile, Sue said she was honored to work with Lisa and document this significant chapter in the artist’s life.
"Following Lisa on this transformative and thrilling year has been a true honor and a cinematic gift," the director stated.
"There have been so many moments on her journey that I think will surprise people and give a glimpse into her world that no one’s ever seen before. I’m excited for viewers to watch the film and witness this extraordinary moment in her life," she added.

Prior to the production of her documentary, Lisa released her debut studio album, Alter Ego, in February 2025.
She also made her acting debut last year in the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, which streamed on Max.
"It was the greatest honor to be part of this show as my first acting gig alongside such incredible actors. And I’m so proud to be able to share my culture and show the beauty of Thailand to the world,” Lisa posted on social media following the conclusion of the series.
