BLACKPINK's Jisoo took to social media to express her gratitude after being recognized at this year's Cannes International Series Festival, also known as Canneseries.

"So honored to receive the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at Canneseries ✨ It honestly means so much, and being there with everyone who came to support made it even more special. I’ll remember this moment 🩷," she remarked in an Instagram post.

The actress-singer added: "Thank you @Canneseries for this award."

Fans online were quick to Jisoo's post.

"Jisoo, you made history. I’m incredibly proud of you. Your talent, hard work, and heart inspire us every day. We love you and will always support you 🥹✨," one fan commented.

"Endlessly proud of you, our rising star ⭐️ I know your every work will be even more successful from now on 💖," another fan wrote.

Canneseries described Jisoo as an artist who "embodies a new generation of artists capable of crossing borders and reinventing themselves."

"With her international reach, screen presence, and ongoing artistic growth, she remains a prominent and promising figure in contemporary Korean and global entertainment," the festival added.

Canneseries is an annual gathering that unites television creators and fans in what organizers describe as a "pop, creative, and resolutely festive atmosphere."

Jisoo continues to grow her acting portfolio, most recently headlining Boyfriend on Demand. Parts of the show was filmed in the Philippines.

"I've actually only been to the Philippines for tours, and we didn’t have much time to take a look around. But this time around, when we went there for production, we had some time to look around and have a lot of good food as well. It was very vacation-y," she shared about her experience filming in the country in a past interview with ABS-CBN News.

In the series, she portrays Seo Mi-rae, a weary webtoon producer who turns to a virtual-reality dating platform following a series of failed relationships.

"This is actually my very first modern-day show. My character, is of similar age to myself, and I think we have similar introspections about life," Jisoo relayed. "I knew that I could relate to this character, identify with her, and I could really immerse myself into the character."

Jisoo also starred in Newtopia and Snowdrop.

She first rose to fame as a member of BLACKPINK, which debuted in 2016.
