Kapamilya actress and former Pinoy Big Brother: Otso housemate Kiara Takahashi has given birth to her first child with partner Ben Gunter.
On Ben’s social media page, the couple announced the arrival of the newest member of their family, describing their baby boy as an early Christmas blessing.
“Our Christmas present is already here π₯° let me introduce the newest member of the Gunters π @_kiaratakahashi,” Ben wrote in a post.
In a carousel of photos, the couple shared moments, including a heartwarming snap of Kiara embracing their newborn and a close-up of their smiling baby boy. As of this writing, the couple has yet to reveal their son’s name.
Friends and colleagues flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages for the now family of three. “
“The best news ! π Omedeto to you both. He is just stunning π₯Ή can’t wait to meet the little man. Well done @_kiaratakahashi π«Άπ»,” a friend wrote.
Kiara’s fellow PBB alum Yen Quirante also said, “@_kiaratakahashi love you ate kia sooo proud of you po congrats kuya ben and ate kiakia π₯Ήπ₯°.”
Kiara first announced her pregnancy last August through a video and has since been documenting her journey to motherhood online, including clips from their gender reveal party announcing they were expecting a baby boy.
“I’m so happy. I would be happy if it was a girl as well but a boy first is the best, the best feeling. I can’t wait to make you my buddy. I can’t wait to do a lot of things with you that I couldn't do,” Ben said trying to not break into tears.

Kiara added, “I’m so excited to meet you and siyempre sana lumaki ka nang mabait at excited kami na makita and we love you already so much.”
In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Kiara revealed that she is currently taking a break from showbiz to focus on this new chapter.
“Everything is just on pause and that pause is such a beautiful pause because it’s an amazing experience as a woman. I’m just very excited for the new chapter and when I come back, it will still be me but a grown me. I feel like I can take all of that experience as a mom to my work and share that to other people,” she expressed.

The couple also shared their plans to give birth in Japan, where they are building their home.
Later in November, Ben proposed to Kiara on the piece of land they purchased as the future site of their dream home.
“Said yes on the same ground we’ll build our forever π I love you, fiancé @benny_gunter β€οΈπΰΌΰΌΰΌΰΌ,” Kiara wrote in a post.

Before giving birth, Kiara opened up about the emotional journey of becoming a first-time mom.
“Growing my greatest blessing. π€ I’m creating life while learning to love mine in a new way. Becoming a momma for the first time feels like stepping into a world I’ve never known, yet somehow always belonged to. I love you, son. Days til we meet you!!” Kiara wrote along with her maternity photoshoot.
Kiara went public with her relationship with Ben last February, sharing a video compilation celebrating their first year together.
She rose to fame as the Batch 2 Winner and sole survivor among adult housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Otso, ultimately finishing as the season’s Second Big Placer. Ben, meanwhile, is a professional rugby player.
