MANILA -- The historical film "Gomburza" starring Cedrick Juan, Enchong Dee, and Dante Rivero, is currently the top movie on Netflix Philippines.
As of writing, the movie outranked other movies including the Filipino comedy flick "Becky & Badette" and foreign films "Sisu," "Bad Guys" and "Knights of the Zodiac."
The death of the three priests ignited the sense of nationalism for many Filipinos including the country’s national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.
Directed by Pepe Diokno, the film was shown in cinemas nationwide as an official entry to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival.
The film also stars Jaime Fabregas, Carlitos Siguion-Reyna, Epy Quizon, Khalil Ramos, Elijah Canlas, Neil Ryan Sese, Paolo O’Hara, Tommy Alejandrino, Gerry Kaimo, Dylan Ray Talon, Jomari Angeles, Bon Lentejas, and Arnold Reyes.
