MANILA — Michele Gumabao showed the way as Creamline blasted Nxled in four sets, 25-18, 25-23, 16-25, 25-19, in the 2026 PVL on Tour Showdown on Wednesday at The Capital Arena in Ilagan, Isabela.
Playing without key cogs, Gumabao was at the forefront of Creamline offense, tallying 18 points on 16 attacks, one block, and one ace, backstopped by Lorie Bernardo, who had 13 points.
The Cool Smashers were without Tots Carlos, Alyssa Valdez, Bea De Leon, and Pangs Panaga, as well as Alas Pilipinas captain Jia de Guzman.
Adding to the Creamline scoring was Ishie Lalongisip, who had nine points, immediately making her presence felt after joining the powerhouse squad from Cignal.

"Siyempre, masaya ako kasi nag-perform nang maganda ‘yung team namin. Kahit ‘yung mga seniors namin ‘di nakalaro, ‘yun naman ‘yung maka-experience sila ng ganitong laro. Magandang laro. So masaya," said Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses.
They took P100,000 in cash prizes, while the losing side, paced by MJ Phillips, had P50,000.
Gel Cayuna, who was invited to the Alas Pilipinas pool, reportedly begged off and has shown up already for Nxled and played as its main setter, registering 22 excellent sets.
Brooke Van Sickle did not see action for the Chameleons, with Phillips top-scoring the squad by dropping 13 points. Three other players were in twin-digit scoring, with EJ Laure adding 12 points, and rookie Irah Jaboneta as well as veteran Jonah Sabete-Escamillan chipping in 11 markers each in the four-set loss.
