CANDON -- Creamline's Alyssa Valdez is cherishing the opportunity as she was selected as an All-Star player, set to participate in the 2026 Volleyball Showcase at the Candon City Arena on Friday.
Valdez, an icon in Philippine volleyball, expressed full gratitude for the opportunity, citing support from her loyal fans.
"Nakakatuwa pa rin na makasama dito kasi there are so many players na sobrang deserving to be part of this and to be chosen to be part of this All-Star. Siyempre nakakatuwa pa rin," said Valdez.
"Hindi pa rin mawawala ‘yung pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga taong bumuboto and sa lahat ng mga taong nagtitiwala pa rin."
She expressed excitement in playing with Vanie Gandler and Bella Belen for the first time. The Creamline captain is a reserve player for Team Heart.
"It’s my first time to play I think with Bella and Vanie, if I’m not mistaken, so it’s just so nice na maka-teammate din syempre ‘yung mga ina-idolize ng mga kabataan ngayon and I just really wanna see how they actually siguro prepare for a game, ‘yung mga ganun," said the star outside spiker.
"Siyempre ‘yun ‘yung mga little things na gusto ko makita na feeling ko mai-inspire rin ako na mas maglaro pa and makasama sila."
