Strong Group-Pilipinas conceded the gold medal after absorbing a straight-set 17-25, 19-25, 15-25 loss to Japanese squad Aleeza Aichi in the championship match of the Taiwanese tilt.
Before advancing to the title match of the pocket tournament, they swept Earth Power of Chinese-Taipei, 25-20, 25-19, 26-24, going 1-1 in Pool B.
