MANILA — Cignal's Vanie Gandler relished the Super Spikers' return to the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Finals.
The Super Spikers clinched a spot in the championship round by defeating Creamline in four frames, 25-13, 13-25, 25-16, 25-16, in the 2026 All-Filipino Conference round-robin semifinals on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Initially at a loss for words, Gandler emphasized how meaningful the milestone was, crediting the team’s perseverance and the challenges they overcame throughout multiple heartbreaks in recent tourneys.

The Ateneo de Manila University product also highlighted the hard work that propelled them back to the title stage.
“It’s hard for us to answer kasi parang we can’t explain how deep this is for us. Kasi we know how hard we worked for this,” said Gandler.
The star spiker also expressed gratitude to her teammates, acknowledging their role in her development as a player.
“I just have so much gratefulness for the team kasi the player I am today is because of them. And then the way the team is performing is because we just want the best for each other. It’s really not for ourselves, it’s for each other,” she added.

“I can’t explain how meaningful it is for me to reach the Finals again.”
Gandler delivered a standout performance with 24 points, carrying much of Cignal’s offensive load as the Super Spikers seized control in the fourth set to silence the Creamline faithful at the Pasay venue.
The victory assured Cignal of at least a Top 2 finish in the semifinals, sending the Cool Smashers to a virtual duel with Farm Fresh Foxies for the remaining Finals berth.
