MANILA — Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Tony Boy Liao said he is willing to sit down with national team players amid rising concerns, including the proposed "Alas Draft."
"Yes, we are very ready to sit down with the players," Liao told ABS-CBN News on Thursday evening.
He, together with PNVF executive director Iby Bautista, first faced volleyball reporters in the Filoil Centre in San Juan during Premier Volleyball League (PVL)'s double-header to air their side amid persisting issues.

Liao is hoping to address the concerns of volleyball community and the sport's stakeholders, the same tone the PNVF used in its statement on Tuesday, where they said they eye "dialogue and collaboration" with them.

Earlier in the day, Alas Pilipinas captain Jia de Guzman shared her thoughts through a series of Instagram Stories.
De Guzman, who played in the Japan SV.League while representing the Philippines, believes that players can thrive in playing both in a league club and in the national team, citing other countries' success in the matter.
This is in response to the Alas Draft, where women's athletes will be locked in to playing only for the national squad.
