MANILA, Philippines – Jean Asis is the second overall pick of the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft, having been chosen by Galeries Tower Highrisers on Sunday at Novotel Manila in Quezon City.
Coach Lerma Giron previously said that the team's goal is to get a middle blocker from this year, only if Capital1 won't secure the services of three-time UAAP MVP Bella Belen from National University.

But as the Solar Spikers stuck to the expected, Galeries fulfilled its goal of selecting for the aforementioned position.
For Far Eastern University's Asis, it's her duty to repay the trust bestowed on her by the Highrisers.
"Sobrang saya po. Ang dami namin, pero ako ‘yung nabigyan ng chance na maging second pick. Sobrang thankful sa coaches ng Galeries na pinagkatiwalaan nila ako sa posisyon na ‘to," Asis told reporters after the formalities of her selection.
"For me, bilang balik, I’ll do my best po sa mga trainings and upcoming games," she added.

The product of Far Eastern University admitted that it's a daunting task, but she would give her best.
"Since I have experience na rin sa FEU from eighth to Final Four, siguro I want to help din ‘yung Galeries to tumaas din ‘yung rank sa PVL," Asis said.

"Hindi siya madali, pero we will try our best [as] a team na maging second pick-achieve ‘yung ganung goals."
The Giron-mentored squad also picked University of Perpetual Help's Winnie Bedaña in the second round.
