MANILA – Ateneo de Manila University standout AC Miner relished the support of her father, who flew from the United States to witness her breakthrough of getting picked in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft.
Miner is now bound for Zus Coffee, with the team choosing her with the No. 5 overall pick on Sunday at Novotel Manila in Quezon City.
"For my dad being here, I’m very very happy he had the time to come here and watch me get drafted tonight," the middle blocker told reporters after the formalities of her selection.

"I’m just very thankful for everything that’s been happening these past few days."
The Blue Eagle said she's also excited to team up with ex-number one 2024 Draft pick Thea Gagate in the young Thunderbelles squad.
"Siyempre, very excited ako na maging teammates with Thea Gagate, especially siya 'yung last year’s first [overall] pick and also multiple awardees sa UAAP so excited ako to work with her sa team," she said.

Miner is also looking forward to helping "rebuild" the team.
Zus Coffee had its highs last conference, including a seventh place finish and a win against eventual champion Petro Gazz in the quarterfinals.
"And also, coming into this team na I hope to rebuild also the team with the staff and the other players as well."
