MANILA (UPDATED) – After lifting Alas Pilipinas past Indonesia at the AVC Women's Nations Cup 2025 earlier in the day, Bella Belen took centerstage again as she was picked first overall by the Capital1 Solar Spikers in the PVL Rookie Draft 2025 on Sunday at Novotel Manila in Quezon City.
Considered as the most promising prospect in this year's class, the three-time UAAP MVP and champion headlined the final 57 aspirants in the Draft.
Far Eastern University's Jean Asis went second overall as she was chosen by Galeries.
Alohi Robins-Hardy, who expressed intent of only playing for Farm Fresh, has officially joined the team after the Foxies used their third overall pick on her.
Ateneo de Manila University's Lyann de Guzman and AC Miner were the fourth and fifth picks, joining Nxled and Zus Coffee, respectively.
NU's Erin Pangilinan, chosen as the sixth overall, believes her "future is bright" with Cignal, while seventh overall pick Tia Andaya, a Fil-American standout setter, is set for PVL entry with Choco Mucho.
De La Salle University's Baby Jyne Soreno and Alleiah Malaluan also went back-to-back as their names were called by Chery Tiggo and PLDT, respectively.
Malaluan was "out of words" as she joined her "dream" team PLDT.
Chenie Tagaod will be under her FEU coach Tina Salak again in Akari, while Julyana Tolentino of La Salle said she "manifested" this dream of getting picked by All-Filipino champion Petro Gazz.
Concluding the first rounders was 12th pick Sheena Toring of the Lady Bulldogs, who will be with another champion team in the professional ranks, making it to Creamline roster under coach Sherwin Meneses again.

Here are the second round picks of the teams, which started with Nxled and so on. Petro Gazz already passed this time, concluding its PVL Draft proceeding. A notable selection was Nica Celis of University of the Philippines, who will be bolstering the middle blocker position in Creamline alongside Toring.
