"Nakakatuwa na these two girls are very willing to listen, and to learn," Valdez told reporters Thursday, at the sidelines of a contract signing between Rebisco and Allianz PNB Life. "That's one of the best qualities you want if you're coming into a team set-up."
"Talagang she's a hard-worker," Valdez said of Toring, while hailing Celis' readiness to accept "all the feedback that we're trying to tell her."
"Brighter future for these two, and hopefully madami talaga sila mako-contribute sa team."
According to Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses, Toring and Celis joined them in training a day after the draft. The pair is expected to see some time for the Cool Smashers when they compete in the PVL on Tour that starts this Sunday in Ilocos Sur.
"'Yung position kasi, medyo vacant talaga. So, I think may time sila para makapaglaro," Meneses said.
"Ready na sila. Kasama namin sila sa Ilocos for PVL on Tour. So okay naman sila," he also said.
