MANILA -- The National University Lady Bulldogs completed a successful title defense in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament, capping their campaign with a two-game sweep of De La Salle University in the Finals.
A 25-19, 25-18, 25-19 win in Game 2 on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena wrapped up another championship for NU -- their third in the last four seasons.
Three-time UAAP MVP and three-time UAAP champion Bella Belen kept her promise to deliver for NU one last time, exiting her collegiate career with flying colors.
“Hindi ko po ma-explain yung feeling,” reflected the Season 84 rookie-MVP shortly after their victory. “Halong lungkot, saya, excited — parang lahat na.”
