MANILA — De La Salle University's path to redemption got off to a bumpy start.
The Ramil De Jesus-led Lady Spikers were swept by National University in their UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball debut, and the veteran mentor admitted that this loss left a sour taste in his mouth.
“Sabi ko sa mga bata, [one of the few] times ko matalo sa opening game sa 28 years ko sa UAAP, sa batch niyo pa nangyari. Medyo masakit,” said the champion coach.
La Salle is coming off a third-place finish in Season 86, and they are looking to reclaim the women’s volleyball crown which they last won in Season 85.
