RODRIGUEZ, Rizal — PLDT's Savi Davison downplayed her 36-point career-high output against Chery Tiggo EV, asserting that she was just satisfied that they went away with the win.
Davison was superb for the High Speed Hitters, firing her career-best on 33 attacks, two aces, and one block that powered their 26-28, 25-12, 25-16, 25-13 triumph over the Crossovers, Saturday night at the Ynares Center here.
The former PVL MVP said she wasn't taking notice of her score and was just laser-focused on keeping the team away from the Crossovers.

"Honestly, it’s hard [to think about it] because I’m just happy that we won. I honestly wasn’t keeping track of how many points I was scoring," expressed Davison regarding her career-high.
"I was just happy that we were able to create gaps and win the last three sets comfortably with a little bit of points between us. Like I said, I’m just happy with the win," she added.
Not just that, she made her presence felt on the defense with 10 excellent digs and 14 excellent receptions. But the humble Davison also underplayed her defense, saying that it was the coaches' templates that allowed her to keep the ball alive and continue the rallies.
"I think, honestly, I want to give credit to the coaches because they gave me the template, right? So, it's just up to me to execute when the game comes through," she said.
"I was just in the right spots that they told me to be in. I put the ball where they told me to put it. So, like I said, I'm just glad that, you know, it was able to...it's more like the mental effort, I think, more than the physical effort at this point," Davison went on.
Thanks to Davison's heroics, PLDT is now on top alongside Zus Coffee and Farm Fresh, all with 6-1 records, and officially clinching the top seed when the dust settles on the preliminaries is on the horizon.
