RODRIGUEZ, Rizal (UPDATED) — The Savi Davison-powered PLDT reaffirmed its status as one of the teams to beat in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.
The High Speed Hitters — winners of the last two PVL tournaments — joined Farm Fresh and Zus Coffee on top by dismantling Chery Tiggo EV, 26-28, 25-12, 25-16, 25-13, tallying their sixth win in seven matches in the import-laden contest on Saturday at the Ynares Center here.
Davison, the Fil-Canadian star spiker and usual suspect for PLDT, garnered a career-high 36 points to lead the team in scoring, and was also dominant in the defense, completing a triple-double with 10 excellent digs and 14 excellent receptions.

"Honestly, it’s hard because I’m just happy that we won. I honestly wasn’t keeping track of how many points I was scoring," expressed Davison, who was just satisfied with the Saturday escape as she eclipsed her previous best of 34 markers, which she did twice.
While they saw the Crossovers steal Set 1, it was all PLDT in the next three frames. They dominated all scoring departments as well: 61-46 in attacks, 11-3 in blocks, and 10-3 in serves.

"I was just happy that we were able to create gaps and win the last three sets comfortably with a little bit of points between us. Like I said, I’m just happy with the win," Davison added.
Import Anastasiia Bavykina had 16 points to supplement the PLDT offense, while Kim Fajardo created the plays with 22 excellent sets.
On the other hand, the Crossovers now see their campaign fall, as they are one step away from getting booted out of contention.
Chery Tiggo, as well as Choco Mucho, need Capital1 to win later in the day over Petro Gazz to keep their slim hopes of making it to the next round.
Yuni Batista poured everything tonight with 27 points — the lone Crossover in twin-digit territory.
