(UPDATED) After her maiden stint in Roland Garros, Filipina tennis star Alex Eala has moved from the clay courts to grass.

Eala is playing this week at the Birmingham Open in England, a WTA 125 tournament wherein she will be the third seed.

After the draw on Sunday, Eala will take on Linda Fruhvirtová of the Czech Republic in the first round. Fruhvirtová is currently ranked No. 154 by the WTA.

The Filipina is tipped to be a player to watch after a breakthrough campaign on tour, highlighted by her Cinderella run in the Miami Open where she reached the semifinals.

Alycia Parks of the United States, who is ranked 52nd by the WTA, is the tournament's top seed followed by Australia's Kimberly Birrell.
